Two days after the horrifying gang-rape of two women, including an Israeli tourist, near Sanapur Lake in Karnataka’s Hampi, police have arrested two suspects, while a manhunt is on for the third accused.The incident occurred on the night of March 6, when a 27-year-old Israeli tourist and a 29-year-old homestay operator were allegedly gang-raped while stargazing with three male companions.According to police reports, a group of men arrived on a motorcycle around 11 p.m., initially seeking petrol and demanding ₹100 from the group. When the demand was refused, the assailants turned violent, pushing the three male tourists into a nearby canal before sexually assaulting the women.Two of the male tourists, identified as Daniel from the United States and Pankaj from Maharashtra, managed to escape and alert the authorities.
