This week together as a family has been everything we needed. There’s a comfort my husband brings when he’s by my side and to physically hold my son has, forever & always, been the largest healing touch my heart has ever witnessed. The way I have seen Bella and Waylon bond over the past week has made both hubby & I tear up at times. Our hearts just melt seeing the love they have for each other. As Waylon gets older he understands Bella’s medical life more and more. Always vocalizing his concern for how she is feeling. And I’ve seen Bella grow a stronger patience for her little brother now that she isn’t having to deal with daily physically pain or restrictions. She has the energy to “keep up” and play with her brother. Not that he would ever leave her behind, but you get what I’m say’n. 🥰 Our boys head home today and so a piece of our hearts fly back home to Saskatchewan with them, while Bella & remain in Toronto as she continues to power through her bowel transplant recovery, close to SickKids hospital.
